New for 2011

Clients instructing us to carry out a Building in 2011 will now receive more property specific Health and Safety advice with a dedicated section summarising risks.

Common examples include radon gas, asbestos, damp and mould growth, electro-magnetic radiation and non-compliant stair joinery.  Another very common hazard is non-toughened glazing which is particularly dangerous where present below 1000mm in height and if children are around.

This is in addition to common health and safety related matters such as neglected electrical and heating installations. We are always happy to carry out specific research if any matter is of particular concern and provide additional assistance to inform of the nature of these risks and what can be done to minimise problems.

Supplementing the new Health and Safety section is a comprehensive page of useful contacts with links to key websites which are able to give further authoritative advice. There are also links to the Trading Standards Trustmark scheme for accredited contractors and the Planning Portal website which has invaluable information on all matters relating to Planning.
