RICS Valuer Registration Scheme

Edwin Lake Ltd are members of the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme. This is an RICS initiative designed to ensure higher levels of compliance and service excellence. The RICS monitor Registered Valuers and companies to ensure that the organisation adheres to the (7th Edition) RICS Valuation Standards, commonly known as the Red Book. The Red Book is fundamental to the work of the Valuer covering all matters from the expertise and experience of the valuer, the Terms of Engagement through site notes to the contents of the final report. Valuations of residential property are based upon the selling prices of similar or comparable property; not only must comparable evidence used be recorded, referenced and properly analysed but there must be a clearly documented process linking the comparable evidence to the Valuation figure.
